Elaine Ashley is a Specialist in Family Law certified by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization, a Family Financial Mediator certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, and a trained Collaborative Divorce Professional. Elaine was included in the 2019 Best Lawyers in America Family Law Section. She is focused exclusively on family law and divorce issues.
Elaine holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters of Music from Southern Methodist University. Elaine received her law degree from North Carolina Central University in 1998.

EXPERIENCE & COMITTMENT
Elaine is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Judicial District Bar, the Greensboro Bar Association, the Guilford County Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys, and a member of the Triad Collaborative Law Group, which promotes alternative methods of dispute resolution for divorcing couples through the collaborative divorce method.
Elaine has held leadership roles in the Greensboro Bar Association Family Law Section and the Guilford County Chapter of the Association of Women Attorneys, and NC Family Law. Elaine served as a preceptor with the Elon University School of Law, and NC Family Law Council Committee Chair. Since 2008, she and her law partner Michele, participate annually in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, historically a two day, 39 mile charitable event. She has attended the Walk in Charlotte, New York City, Santa Barbara, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. In 2018, she and Michele completed the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer in Atlanta, encompassing 60 miles. Cumulatively, they have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the fight.
